Born in 2001 CE (2058 BS), as a collective brainchild of the few like-minded artists and the art educationists then, Sirjana College of Fine Arts today, has traversed a long way since. Begun in a very humble way, but since the day one, we never failed to dream big – to turn it into a premier center for higher learning in Art.
In the year 2022, the earlier governing mechanism has been revised with the establishment of Sirjana Fine Arts Sārvajanik Shaikshik Guthi (Sirjana Fine Arts Public Educational Trust).Hence Sirjana College of Fine Arts and Sirjana School of Fine Arts have come into operation under the aegis of Sirjana Sārvajanik Shaikshik Guthi with separate School Management Committee and the College Management Committee.
Begun with a humble number of students – with less than two digits, we stand proud today, numerically, with more than two hundred plus students and more than forty faculty members. Academically, the excellence of our education system is well reflected by the highest score achieved by our students in Bachelors’ Degree (BFA) exams, under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan University.
In terms of scope for studies too, we’ve expanded and offered number of new courses of studies – BFA programs in Graphic Communications, Traditional Nepali Painting, and Traditional Nepali Sculpture – besides the BFA courses on Music and Dance.
This College has a rare honor, and the privilege to have been conferred with the Certification of Institutional Accreditation by the University Grants Commission (UGC) - Nepal on March 28, 2023 (Chaitra 14, 2079).
We're in constant dream of expanding our course of studies to Master’s Level in Fine Arts in the days to come. We’re convinced that our dream is near and attainable – given that we continue to receive, as usual, your continual support in future.

Imparting a strong academic program to the students in the field of Fine Arts has been the main aim of the College. We look forward to bringing out the best in each student, helping the birth of talented and creative minds required for human resources in the field of Visual Arts and Performing Arts.
For sure, our immediate mission has been essentially to impart quality Art Education – in the streams of Fine Arts like Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Communications, Music and Dance: and to create a continual pool of globally competitive artists annually.
At the same time but, we remain equally concerned to nurture and project the rich cultural heritage of Nepal globally. Precisely so, Sirjana has made special provisions for the Academic Courses in – Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Traditional Nepali Art – in Painting and Sculpture.
We Believe
Only a work of ‘Art’ – Painting, Sculpture, Music or Dance can and would stimulate; and lead a human mind and brain towards the power of positivity.
It’s often said a human is an inborn artist, but the truth is – only by learning...
Only a work of ‘Art’ – Painting, Sculpture, Music or Dance can and would stimulate; and lead a human mind and brain towards the power of positivity.
It’s often said a human is an inborn artist, but the truth is – only by learning and studying systematically under the proper guidance of professionals, one can aspire to be an artist and beyond.
Only by enrolling in an institute of higher learning in Art – like Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Communications, Music, Dance, etc.; and only inside an art classroom, students are provided with the systematic lessons – in knowledge and skills – of a chosen field of Art. And only then, an aspiring art-student would be able to express in his/her chosen subject of Art. Eventually then, it will lead one to become a celebrated artist – a Painter, Sculptor, Designer or a Musician.
Also, the knowledge of Art like Drawing and Painting or Sculpture will serve as additional skill or a useful help even if one chooses to pursue later to other related fields.
